Furniture, mattresses and other bulky items do not belong in the bin room or beside the bins. Electrical equipment, rechargeable batteries and batteries can cause fires and must not go into general waste or packaging bins. Use take-back points or recycling centres. Paint, chemicals and other hazardous substances are accepted separately.
Where bicycle storage is available, all residents at that residence may use it. Leave your bicycle only in the designated places and keep passageways, doors and escape routes clear.
Residences regularly announce bicycle-tagging campaigns. These identify bicycles that have been unused or abandoned for a long time and remove them using the announced procedure. Watch the notices, mailing list and other local channels, and respond within the stated period. The residence will communicate the exact dates, tags and removal process locally.
Corridors, stairwells, doors and emergency exits must remain clear. Do not leave rubbish bags, boxes, furniture or electrical equipment there. This is a safety rule, not merely a matter of tidiness.
